Select Check for Gear Updates from RescueRigger's Help menu to download and install the most recent gear. If you have problems during the gear installation process you can manually reinstall the gear as explained on this page.

1    RescueRigger version 7.0 must already be installed on your computer (you can upgrade from an older version here). You should be able to run RescueRigger without being prompted for a license key.

2   This step is optional and should only be done if you have duplicate gear (i.e., multiple pieces of the same gear in the Gear Panel).

Delete the folder named “C:\Program Files\Iterum\RescueRigger\Addins” from your computer.

This removes all of the existing Addin gear from RescueRigger which will help prevent duplicate gear. If you created your own Addin gear, you should only delete files in this folder that begin with "FIA" or "_FIA".

3   Click here to download the gear setup program.

(RescueRigger involves two setup programs. One installs the actual RescueRigger program and this setup program installs the gear.)

4   When the File Download box appears, click Open or Run.

5   You will be prompted to shut down (i.e., close) RescueRigger if it is running.

6   When the gear setup program prompts you for the Destination Directory, specify
"C:\Program Files\Iterum\RescueRigger" (do not append "Addins" to the directory name).

7   When RescueRigger is launched, you will be told that new gear is available. Choose Import Now.

8   After importing the new gear, choose Tools and then Options from the menu bar. Select the Gear Panel page in this dialog. The bottom of the dialog should show that more than 200 pieces of gear are installed.

Please contact us if you need assistance with this process. Be as specific as possible regarding any problems you encounter.
