vRigger is Windows-based software that lets you create rigging systems on your PC. Whether you perform mountain, swiftwater, industrial or urban rescue, or work in the industrial, rope access, or theatrical rigging industries, vRigger will help you illustrate your rigging systems.

Elegant interface

vRigger features a modern interface that is similar to the interface found in Microsoft Office®. The "ribbon" at the top of the screen groups common tasks into easy-to-locate panels.

Familiar Interface

Gear panes

Floating "gear panes" contain hundreds of pieces of gear. To add gear to your rigging system, you simply drag gear from a gear pane and drop it on the screen. (Watch videos about adding gear or customizing the gear panes.)

Click your mouse in the following list to preview vRigger's gear.

You can also add your own gear.
The core vRigger program includes 251 pieces of rigging gear. You can purchase support for the industrial, rope access, and theatrical industries which brings the total to 305. Learn more about the additional rigging industries.

Drag-and-Drop

When you drop gear onto other gear, the gear automatically connects. Sound effects add an auditory experience to your virtual workspace.

Flexible Rope and Webbing

You can use your mouse to grab any point on a rope and then drop it on gear to "attach" it to the rope. When you rearrange gear, the rope automatically remains connected to the gear.

Undo/Redo

Don't worry about making mistakes!
The Undo and Redo commands are only
a click away.

Calculate Forces

vRigger calculates the forces in your systems. The force calculations include mechanical advantage, friction, breaking strength, safety factors, and much more. Learn more about force calculations

Create Your Own Gear

In addition to the 305 pieces of gear that are available in vRigger, you can use the Gear Builder to add your own. To create your own gear, you will need to create the gear images using graphic editing software, such as Photoshop, and store the images as bitmap files.

Click-and-Pick

When you click your right mouse button on gear, a menu containing commands relevant to that item is displayed. After clicking on the gear, pick a command. It's that easy.

Online Help and Updates

vRigger includes an extensive Help system. And the free online training videos help you get the most from vRigger.

vRigger periodically checks the Internet to see if an updated version is available. If a newer program or new gear is found, it is automatically downloaded and installed. View a list of recent enhancements to vRigger.

Sample Images

Click on the following images to view sample systems that were created using vRigger. (These images may display in low-resolution depending on your browser settings.) You can also view snippets of gear in use. If you already own vRigger, you can view and download these sample files.
