RescueRigger -- Rope Rescue Rigging Software

RescueRigger is Windows-based software that lets you create rigging systems on your PC. Whether you work or teach in the mountain, swiftwater, industrial or urban environment, RescueRigger will help you illustrate your rigging systems.

The Gear Panel

The "Gear Panel" is displayed on the left side of your screen. You use your mouse to drag gear from the Gear Panel onto the workspace.

Click your mouse in the following list to preview RescueRigger's gear.

Click to preview the available gear:
You can also add your own gear.

The basic RescueRigger program includes 221 pieces of rigging gear. You can purchase support for the industrial, rope access, and theatrical industries which adds 48 pieces of gear bringing the total to 269. Click here to learn more about the additional rigging industries.

Drag-and-Drop
When you drop gear from the Gear Panel onto another piece of gear, the gear automatically connects. Sound effects add an auditory experience to your virtual workspace.

Flexible Rope and Webbing
You can use your mouse to grab any point on a rope and then drop it on gear to "attach" it to the rope. When you rearrange gear, the rope automatically remains connected to the gear.

Undo/Redo
Don't worry about making mistakes!
The Undo and Redo commands are only
a click away.

Calculate Forces
RescueRigger calculates the forces in your systems. The force calculations include mechanical advantage, friction, breaking strength, safety factors, and much more. Learn more about force calculations.

Add Your Own Gear
In addition to the 269 pieces of gear that are available in RescueRigger, you can use the Addin Gear Builder to add your own. To create your own gear, you will need to create the gear images using graphic editing software, such as Photoshop, and store the images as bitmap files.

Click-and-Pick
When you click your right mouse button on gear, a menu containing commands that are relevant to that item is displayed. After clicking on the gear, pick a command. This approach of right-clicking on gear and choosing commands makes it easy to use RescueRigger.

Online Help and Updates
RescueRigger includes an extensive Help system. You can also print a handy Quick Start Guide and Reference card from within RescueRigger. And the free online training videos help you get the most from RescueRigger.

RescueRigger periodically checks the Internet to see if an updated version is available. If a newer program or new gear is found, it is automatically downloaded and installed. View a list of enhancements to RescueRigger.

Design Complex Systems Easily
